Bishop Haney had the best night yet since his diagnosis! We are thanking God for that & thanking all of you who are praying-for your PRAYERS! He has preached FAITH for years & now that Faith is being tried! But as the 3 Hebrew children had the 4th man walking with them in the fire, we feel HIM walking with us in the fire! God said He was the great Physician! Jesus is the Doctor in the house today! Our faith is in Him! He is Lord of lords! King of kings! He does ALL things well! We TRUST HIM & are not afraid but are confident in His mercy & power to answer all the Prayers prayed around the world on behalf of Bishop Haney! Please continue your vigil of fervent prayer until this Miracle is complete! Please Don't stop, don't let up but help us fight our way to victory!! This song is our theme song: "Whose report will you believe? We shall believe the report of the Lord! His report says I am HEALED! His report says I am filled! His report says I am free! His report says VICTORY!" Much Love & Thankfulness to ALL of you!

Bro Joseph Carnes asks that we pray for his wife Sis Maria Carnes, who is scheduled to have surgery. Let us pray for complete healing and Blessings upon her this day.
Bartlett Church
Bro. Mandley received a call from Troy from Louisiana today who saw our PCT link on our website and was greatly encouraged by the testimony of the healing of leukemia.
He has submitted the following needs for prayer:
1. His wife of 15 years left him and their 3 children about 7 months ago. He is asking for the healing and restoration of their marriage.
2. His uncle has terminal cancer
Their church has special services this weekend with a minister who is especially gifted in the area of healing. Troy is asking that his uncle come to these services and is expecting a miracle of healing. His wife is expected to be there for these services as well and he is asking that these services bring the healing that is needed in their marriage as well.
3. A woman by the name of Ashley that is in their church has breast cancer. She is 23 years old and just had surgery last week. The surgery went well but the recovery has not. She went back to the doctor and they discovered that the skin grafts for the reconstructive part of the surgery were infected and that there was more cancerous cells in the tissue surrounding. She will require more surgery and is need of healing.
Lets pray for this need! Troy we are praying for you.

IN THE FIRE
As Rev. Jason Beardsley reminded us Sunday – there’s a difference between standing around the fire and being in it. When you’re in it, you move.
“I don’t want to be a Christian who sits back,” he said. “I want that fire to burn again and again and again.”
And just like a campfire, we need to be sure to clear the ashes of the past – like sin and past failures -- to keep the fire going strong. And that comes through repentance, prayer and worship.
“It is important that we keep the altars clean,” he said. “Many of us need to get in the proper worship and shake off the stuff.”
He reminded us that even though trials may come our way or things don’t work out quite like we planned, we need to keep getting up and move ahead. Just like the Navy Seal in training, if you ring the bell, you may never know what your walk with God could have been.
So don’t give in. Don’t let the enemy keep throwing the things of the past in your way. Get up and get moving and keep that fire burning…..

Eleven Year Old Danica Pierce Healed!
Danica Pierce With Her Middle Mania Friends
Two years ago Danica Pierce was hospitalized for several weeks with a disease that affects different parts of the body.
“I just felt like…how did I get here? How did this happen? I was scared, but my Pastor’s, and friends from church prayed for me. Jesus healed me. This was the best thing that ever happened to me. Now I am not afraid to pray for people because God has given me a gift after what happened, and I know He can do it for my friends," says Danica
(Danica is an 11 year old girl in our Middle Mania*class that meets every Sunday morning at 11am.)
The Holy Bible says, “Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.” (Luke 4)
Danica Pierce
In Middle Mania, there is a great relationship between the students and teachers. The teachers are open to answering questions, and often times refer the students to scriptures in the Holy Bible for answers.
The students in Middle Mania are a great group of individuals. They pray together, they fellowship with one another, and strengthen each other daily. The only way they are able to do this, is with the power of God. To this day, Danica’s story has impacted and inspired many of the students.
At UPC Bartlett, we believe that with the strength of the Lord, we can do all things. The next generation can overcome drugs, peer pressure, suicidal thoughts, and self-esteem issues not by our strength, but by His.
The Holy Bible says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Danica’s testimony not only lifted her faith, but it also lifted everyone else’s in the class.
This is what Holy Bible says that faith is: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

Jesus Still Does Miracles
Pastor Boetccher Prays for Cynthia
Do you feel:
Sick?
Lonely?
Deprived?
Do you have problems:
Financially?
With a troubled teen?
With addictions?
Do you think it’s time for a miracle?
What if all these dilemmas vanished, and an unexplainable peace replaced it?
At Bartlett United Pentecostal Church, there have been people who walk through the doors with these situations and more.
Just last Thursday at our Bible study a woman named Cynthia had problems with back pain and was healed!
There was also a man who encountered the love of Jesus Christ for the first time in his life.
Cynthia Rejoices In Her Healing!
Just like Cynthia, she had faith that her healing was on her way! The Holy Bible says Luke 17:6 He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you.
There is nothing that Jesus Christ can not do for you. Your miracle is waiting for you at Bartlett UPC, God is ready to deliver you from every excruciating situations in your life. He already has all the answers you need, he knew them before your crisis because he carried the cross for you and me. In the Holy Bib;e a prophet named Isaiah said
“:But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5
So I ask this once again, do you need a miracle in your life?
If so, Bartlett UPC has experienced many miracles and will soon be a witness to yours.

ANNUAL PRAYER WALK
![]() |
Reverend Paul Goff Admonishes Prayer Walkers to pray earnestly for the city.
The Following Post Was Written By Stefania Pinto:
Yesterday was our annual prayer walk at Bartlett United Pentecostal Church .
During this wonderful time of unity, we walked around the city of Bartlett and asked Jesus to bless and protect the kids in their schools, the fire and police department and everyone who lives there.
At Bartlett UPC, we believe that Prayer Changes Things.
As we prayed, we felt that the enemy of our souls had some people in bondage.
By bondage, I mean things such as: depression, brokenness, drug addictions, and many other things.
But the good news is that Jesus doesn't want people to live with such things. He came to 'seek and to save that which was lost'(Luke 19:10) and to set free all who are in oppressed.
Regardless of where we came from, or how we were raised, we believe that Jesus is the way to salvation and transformation! Jesus listens when we pray! The Holy Bible says,
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
We believe that there are wonderful things that are about to happen in Bartlett as a result of this amazing prayer walk.
Not by our strength, but by the glory of God. The Holy Bible says,
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20)
At UPC Bartlett, we have faith that if we gather in one mind, and one accord, we can pray for somebody in need .
God has all power in heaven and on earth!

33 Members of the Bartlett Church Gathered to Pray
When we pray for others, we step into a place and ask Jesus to allow us to pray for souls that we may not even know personally, but that Jesus wants to heal and bless.
The Holy Bible says,
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but his Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered”. (Romans 8:26)
We have such a loving God that wants to bless, and pour out His spirit in the last days.
Won’t you join us and feel the amazing presence of God?
We believe that victory will come out of this prayer walk, and many more miracles, signs and wonders are to come.
You are welcome in our church! We want to be your friend.
We hope you can join us, we would love to have you.

God Hears Our Prayers
Truly God has graced us with His almighty power at Bartlett UPC!
Since the beginning of the year, many have recieved the infilling of the Holy Ghost just like they did in the book of Acts.
And many more are in home Bible studies with members of the leadership team.
People who have a need, know to ask the Bartlett church members to pray because they know that listens to our prayers!
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Pastors Boettcher and Yonts teach us that submission and obedience to God's word brings special favor and anointing.
That's why God listens when we 'seek his face and pray'... because we have humbled ourselves before God in servitude to our fellow man, in faithfulness to prayer, Bible reading, church attendance, and tithes; and living a holy and seperated life. (Hebrews 12:14, I Thessalonians 5:17, Malachi 3:10, Hebrews 12:14)
So won't you join us?
The Almighty God longs to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.
Come pray with us.
Come worship with us.
And soon you will discover a depth of relationship with God that you never knew was possible!

God is amazing!

The last time I reported, we were at 17 filled with the Holy Ghost. As of yesterday, April 17th 2011, we are at 37. God filled another three individuals yesterday. We also baptized Dominick. Right after baptism, God filled him with the Holy Ghost. We have another 3 scheduled for baptism next Sunday. Wow, God has brought revival to Bartlett. Thanks for praying...because Prayer Changes Things! This revival began right after Bro. Goff started this ministry! Thanks to him for being sensitive to God!

Jesus In The House
Prayer has been changing things at Bartlett United Pentecostal Church.
Jesus promised in John 12:32 that if He be lifted up He would draw all men unto Him.
Well, we've been praying and God's been answering!
Last summer, the church members gathered for a Prayer Walk and prayed for the people of Barlett as they walked the streets and neighborhoods of Bartlett.
We also gather together monthly for a prayer meeting, and we pray weekly in our services, and daily in our homes.
The Holy Bible says that if we will humble ourselves and pray that God will answer. (II Chronicles 7:14)
And truly God is answering!
So far this year, 30 people have recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost just like they did in the book of Acts. (Acts 19, Acts 8, Acts 2)
And others have been healed and/or delivered from addictions and unhealthy lifestyles.

And Pastor Yonts led the congregation in a heartfelt prayer for the country of Japan.
And what about you dear friend and reader? What prayers has the Almighty God answered for you since the beginning of year?
Leave a comment as a testimony and to glorify God!

Japan Need Our Prayers
Japan just suffered its largest recorded earthquake of 8.8. The main concern is for the city of Sendai that has already been hit with a tsunami. We do have a church in that city so please pray for Pastor Kon and the church in Sendai. Also pray for the aftershocks and potential further tsunami waves.
Ed Hosmer
Missionary to Japan
We covet your prayers for everyone in Japan today. My younger brother, who was the first National Quizzer and went on the first Outreach Team for AIM...a long time AIMer in Korea and Japan...lives near Tokyo. He wrote that it was very bad.
I am asking our friends to please pray for Richard Kepler's family, who live in Ashikaga, Japan. They were in the violent earthquake which happened today. So far, Rick and his wife are fine. Rick is stranded at his workplace. No subways are running. Sayuri, his wife is nearer to the children, who are at home. She is trying to get to them and her parents. Please pray for them..Rick, Sayuri, Marie' and Jin Keith.
Thank you so very much! Every time we ask you to pray for something, the prayers are answered quickly. Your prayers go where none of us can.

Holy Ghost Update
I just wanted to keep everyone updated on what God has done so far this year. God has added 2 more to His list: Will and Onassis have also received the Holy Ghost. That makes 17 this year. We also baptized 2 last Sunday. Wow, hard to keep up with Him. Many in the church are getting hold of what God is doing and going deeper in the Spirit. I am excited! That's all for now!

If you want to experience the winds of Pentecost and have your mind, heart and emotions radically transformed visit our services on Sundays at 11am or Thursdays at 7:30pm or come to our monthly prayer service the last Saturday of the month at 6pm.
I promise you, once you've experienced Pentecost, you'll never be the same!!

One of the most exciting things about the Bartlett United Pentecostal Church is that we support dozens of missionaries all over the world. Below are some of the prayer needs from some of our dear missionary friends who are representing Jesus Christ overseas. They too know that Prayer Changes Things.

BURKINA FASO
God has helped us to begin our Sunday School program across Burkina Faso and Niger. We have held six children's programs in the local churches. Each has averaged 150-200 children in attendance. Niger is taking Sunday School to the next level. God is moving in the hearts of the pastors and the children of Burkina Faso. We are thankful for Jaydie Johnson who came up from Lome, Togo, to help us this month.
Special Prayer Requests
BURKINA FASO
We have some existing land situations that we need to address. Please pray that we will be able to sift through the process. Currently we are working on a piece of property where we will be able to build a church/Bible school, but we have two other churches that are being forced to move within the next few months. We desperately need God's direction and the finances to move forward. Also, typhoid is beginning to hit Burkina. We just lost a saint a few weeks ago to this. Please pray for physical protection.
IVORY COAST
Pray for a peaceful settlement to the political crisis. The threat of civil war is at a serious level. Pray for the Lord to touch the hearts of leaders on both sides to reconcile their differences in favor of the Ivoirian people.
NAMIBIA
Pray with us for a great conference, our first national conference which will be held in April in the city of Windhoek.
NIGERIA
2011 is a Federal Election Year in Nigeria. There are many warnings being issued because of the potential for rioting and violence. Pray for a peaceful election season. February to April is the most critical time.

MONTHLY PRAYER SERVICE: Prayer Changed Onassis!!
Tonight was our monthly prayer service at Bartlett United Pentecostal Church.
Once a month the church members gather together for corporate prayer. This is a very powerful time of interceding for everyone's needs including the names on the Prayer Changes Things prayer list.
At Bartlett UPC, our services and prayer meetings are just like they were when the Holy Ghost initially fell on the Day of Pentecost as recorded in the book of Acts .
" When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale force—no one could tell where it came from. It filled the whole building. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them." (Acts 2:1-4 from The Message)
People experience the infilling of the Holy Ghost and speak in a language they do not know just like they did back then. It is the most thrilling and awesome experience you can imagine and it radically transforms each person's life.
Recieving the spirit of the living God inside of you is truly like being born again. Perhaps this is why it is so often referred to this way. Even Jesus himself explained the necessity of this experience when he spoke to Nicodemus a powerful and dedicated religious leader:
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." (John 3:3-5)
You can read the full exchange between Jesus and Nicodemus here.
In the following video you can see church members rejoicing with Onassis and this wonderful, eternity defining moment as Pastor Boettcher explained what took place:

Well tonight, Onassis, who has been in a Bible study with Pastor Boettcher, recieved the infilling of the Holy Ghost as evidenced with speaking in tongues!!

Reaching People
Prayer evangelism takes prayer on location!
It is difficult to envision a need that we do not see. Sights, sounds, and smells help focus our mind and intensify
our awareness. When we can actually see the object of our prayers, we can pray with heightened sensitivity,
increased understanding, and a greater burden. When we pray on site, we gain insight. This insight allows us to
see the spirit behind the bondage enabling prayer to be more specific and focused. We cannot change the will of
a person, but we can pray to change the spiritual atmosphere where the person lives.(Resources from WNOP)

Bible Studies
![]() |
Pastor & Mrs. Boettcher with Onassis and his family.
At Bartlett United Pentecostal Church we offer a free 12 lesson Bible study that is taught by one of our seasoned teachers in the comfort of your own home.
The study begins in the book of Genesis and explains in an easily understood format why God created us, how He longs to have an intimate relationship with us, and how He's prepared a beautiful place in heaven for us if we will obey His teachings.
The pictures are of a wonderful family who've been attending our church. They are pictured here with Pastor and Mrs. Boettcher.
They meet once a week to pray together and study God's word.
It is an exciting and joyous time in their life as they are experiencing the power and blessings that come from recieving the Holy Ghost as evidenced with speaking in tongues just like they did in the book of Acts.
Won't you help us pray for this family? And please, leave a comment and tell us how we can pray for your family.
Prayer really does change things.

In one region, the youth became active in evangelism and outreach and as a result thirty-two were baptized in Jesus' name and five received the Holy Spirit.
In two regions 7,000 tracts were distributed and as a result nineteen were baptized in Jesus' name and twenty-seven received the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Three Bible school students from other organizations have embraced the truth and were baptized in Jesus' name.
A deacon has been preaching on the local radio station for three years now. The Chief and Elders in one town invited him to visit. As a result a church has been planted and thirty-nine have already been baptized in Jesus' name.
A pastor and congregation from another denomination expressed their interest in the Oneness Truth. So far twenty-eight members have been baptized in Jesus' name.( Sis Colleen Carter)

First, my father had a heart attack while pushing snow on January 11th. God was merciful and he was able to get himself to the emergency room where the attack was kept under control. He was diagnosed with a blockage of the left anterior descending artery (the "widow maker"). A heart surgeon was able to successfully place a stent the following day and he was able to return home the day after. He immediately was feeling more energy and having less pain than he has felt in years. There was no permanent damage to the heart muscle and he has been able to return back to work. So thankful for God's protection and control!
Secondly, we had asked for prayer for my nephew, Austen Wageman, who had blood tests done suggestive of tumors on his adrenal glands. The church prayed and he was taken to the Mayo Clinic for additional testing. This round of tests came back completely normal. No tumors. Again, so thankful for God's protection and that He is in control!

Just Like The Book of Acts
One of the reasons that the Almighty God responds to the prayers of believers at Bartlett United Pentecostal Church is because we submit to and worship God just like they did in the book of Acts.
Our services are an experience - an interaction - with the living, dynamic, sovereign Savior of the universe.
While we do have form and structure in our church services, we also yield to moving the Holy Spirit.
Here's a clip of Pastor Boettcher's message from a few weeks ago. It wasn't just hype, there was a strong feeling of God's anointing in the room:
"When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale force—no one could tell where it came from. It filled the whole building. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them." (Read all of Acts 2 here)
The people at Jerusalem had just witnessed the 120 believers speaking in a language they did not know - a heavenly God ordained language - and so they asked the Apostle Peter what to do:
"Peter said, "Change your life. Turn to God and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, so your sins are forgiven. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is targeted to you and your children, but also to all who are far away—whomever, in fact, our Master God invites."
And the people did just that. Acts 2:41 says that 3,000 people were baptized that very day!
God blessed them and their efforts and soon many signs and miracles started to happen.
Acts 8:14 sums up the kinds of things that happened after the believing Christians had recieved the Holy Ghost and been baptized in Jesus Name.
"Philip proclaimed the Message of the Messiah. When the people heard what he had to say and saw the miracles, the clear signs of God's action, they hung on his every word. Many who could neither stand nor walk were healed that day. The evil spirits protested loudly as they were sent on their way. And what joy in the city!"
If you are looking for a miracle you've come to the right place!
Post your request and the PCT Prayer Team will pray for your need.
(This is my first time using You Tube so not sure why it's sideways... SORRY)
The Holy Bible tells us that after Jesus Christ ascended up to Heaven He told His disciples to go to Jerusalem and wait until the Comforter came. Acts chapter 2 records what happened:
"When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale force—no one could tell where it came from. It filled the whole building. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them." Leukemia Healed!
The following is the account of Juan Carlos Tena’s healing as told by his sister Gioselin Gonzalez to reporter Ben Rodriguez.

Ben Rodriguez
B: So how did this all begin?
G: Four years ago, we had just started coming to this church. And my brother became terribly sick. He had bruises all over his body. And the doctors said there was nothing wrong with hm. But my mom was praying and fasting for weeks to see what direction to take for my brother, and she felt to take him to the hospital. They said that he had leukemia.
B: What was Juan’s attitude about the disease?
G: In the beginning, he was just like, terrified. Because he was just five and just a normal little kid. He wanted to play outside and be with his friends, but he was scared. We started talking to him about how God great is, and about His carrying us. After we spoke to him about God, he never cried afterwards. He actually won a certificate for bravery at his hospital.
B: How did you take the news of your brother’s sickness?
G: I was, I guess, in shock. Totally in shock. Because no one in our family had such a sickness. But that’s where my faith started to grow. I prayed every day and night, because I knew God is a healer. Afterwards, I felt better.
B: How did the healing happen?

A month after his diagnosis, he had a test to see if it had spread. The doctor had said that it had probably spread to his brain and spine. [The doctor] thought [Juan] was going to have more, but he had none. The call from the doctor said that there was no cancer. They were completely shocked. And that was our response from God.
B: And who healed your brother?
G: A God named Jesus.
B: Can He heal other people?
G: Yes he can.
